Manners: A poem featuring Lollie the Boxer

Eat with a fork and wipe your face,

Chew slowly because it’s not a race.

Clean your dishes after you eat,

Offer your guests a tasty treat.

Wipe your feet when you enter a home,

Follow the rules and don’t just roam.

Always say please when asking a question,

And then say thank you if offered a suggestion.

Don’t interrupt if someone is speaking,

Wait your turn and refrain from peeking.

Minding your manners is the right thing to do,

If you are polite then I will be too.
